Overview

Rich in history, discover St. Clair, Pennsylvania, a borough in Schuylkill County, located north of Pottsville, in the southern Coal Region.

Our safe, small-town setting provides ample opportunity for recreation.  Admiral Boone Park offers the gazebo with surrounding benches, a perfect setting for a wedding, concerts in the summer, and a Christmas Festival and Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony in early December.  St. Clair offers a community swimming pool, several playgrounds, including the “Little Saints “ playground for our toddlers and a track at Veteran’s Memorial Stadium.  John Siney Park, adjacent to the Little League Field, offers a covered pavilion, in a grove of trees, which can also be rented through Borough Hall. A section of the 120 mile Schuylkill River Trail, passing through St. Clair to nearby Frackville,  is sure to be a popular attraction.  The annual Halloween Parade is one of the largest in the area and a favorite event for all generations.

There are several opportunities to become involved in our community.   We have five active fire departments, an historical society, several churches and non-profit organizations.  Other community events include easter egg hunts, summer car cruise and shows, food fairs, parades, a town-wide yard sale, and organized walks around the Borough.

The St. Clair School District offers a safe, welcoming, student-oriented learning environment in which each student is challenged to reflect, question and create.  The St. Clair School District provides an education from kindergarten - 8th grade. The district has an agreement for students to attend Pottsville School District for 9-12 grades. Private schools Nativity B.V.M. and Marian Catholic are also educational options for 9-12th  grades. Several colleges and universities are within an hour’s drive including many Penn State Community Campuses.

Close proximity to Interstates 80 and 81 allows for easy access to metropolitan areas.
